Arbitrator - Best droneship(not counting its variants) of amarr and rather cheap to fly. It's the preverbial "multitool" of the amarr navy really, the fitting variations are almost endless. Maller - A great hardhitter for cheap flights. Also is a lot faster to mission(lowend) in then in a BC.(taking all traveltimes etc into consideration) Omen - Fastest gank ship in the low-end of ships. It's like a mini BS/assault frigate. A devastating weapon in the right hands. Augoror - Great ship for repairing/support, especially in cruiser gangs/missioning. It's left alone basically 'cause it's the only ship that's even close to the guardian, another "left alone" ship. This is mainly 'cause people like to pewpew more then help eachother
Cruisers have their uses, but in a "PVP only i want results now!" world, i can see how they would be "useless". Cheap, good for fun/fast tasks, testing, learning. They do what a frigate can't do and cost less to do in then in a battlecruiser.
So yeah, i have a problem with being serious, but it's the almost smallest problem i have. |

never ever seen a single auguror or omen flying around who on earth flies amarr cruisers for pvp except arbitrator? cruisers are easy to train so everyone goes for vexor or stabber
Upper should answer your question.
Also, some don't fly other races for other reasons.

Originally by: Gamesguy Because a Hac/Recon can do every thing a cruiser does but better.
HAC/Recon= 80 mil? Cruiser= 5mil?
There's the big difference.
Other is a "Oh gods i hope i don't lose this!"-ship and other is a cruiser

Originally by: Gamesguy Ya but you'd use the same equipment on both ships, so throw in another 20-30mil for complete t2 fittings. Now you're looking at 30mil vs 100mil.
But the hac would perform way better, let you live longer/survive more engagements. And the recons are so much better than their t1 counterparts its really lopsided. Rook vs blackbird? Lachesis vs celestis?
Still. You can fit/buy three cruisers at the price of one HAC/Recon.
And by the way, if you're amarr, those t1 counterparts sometimes are better, fitting wise.
Especially after khanid hits
Only encounters you really have to worry are gatecamps/bubbles, and you can't survive those anyhoo. Well, can, but there's minimal difference.

Second this to the second degree
Also, fitted my augoror today as a "blockade runner".
Cargo expanders x3 i-stab x3 MWD Dampener. Lazorz.
It's a small cargo(750), cheap mans blockade runner and best there is really at it.
Also tried a level II mission with it, single plate makes it the best armoured ship in the cruiser fleet
